SWG - A01 Series Dryers

Most infrared or UV-based gas analyzers require a dry gas in order to operate efficiently and deliver accurate results. Water vapor in the gas sample acts as either a spectral or physical interferent. When choosing a dehumidification device, it is critical to choose a dryer that is both efficient and selective to water vapor.

Sunsep's SWG-A01 Series dryers utilize a hydrophilic polymer tubing that is very selective to water vapor only. Water is removed in the vapor phase as a result of a chemical bonding between the water molecules and the polymer. The water transfer is based on the partial vapor pressure differential between inside and outside the tubing. With a countercurrent purge flow on the outside of the tubing, drying is continuous.

SWG - Series Multi-tube Dryers

Sunsep's SWG 35 and 100 Series dryers utilize a very hydrophilic polymer that is very selective to water vapor only. With a countercurrent purge flow on the outside of the tubing, drying is continuous.

These dryers deliver equivalent performance to Nafion tube products and are interchangeable with them. They are widely used as a secondary polishing dryer downstream of a thermo-electric cooler or refrigerated dryer.

SWF Series Dryers

Sunsep's SWF Series is ideal for drying compressed air or gas, as well as for removing moisture from sample gases prior to analysis. A hydrophilic polymer developed by AGC absorbs water vapor very selectively and continuously with a counterflow purge gas.

These dryers have a very compact profile, which enables them to fit into U-sized rack mounted enclosures. Their design enables them to be used at pressure ranges from vacuum to over 100 psig. Their flexible shell makes them perfect for retrofitting existing systems, or in equipment where space is at a premium, such as zero-air generators.

Mini-Flow Air and Gas Dryers

The SWC M04-70 dryer from AGC Engineering is the ultimate “point-of-use” dehumidification device. This dryer consists of a tube bundle made from a very hydrophilic fluoropolymer with a specific affinity for water vapor.. The principle of water transfer is based on the vapor pressure differential between the inside and outside of the tube bundle; water molecules move from the wet gas inside to a dry purge gas, which also carries the molecules off the outer surface of the tubing. This water transfer will continue as long as the moisture gradient is maintained.
